We are participating in ALS San Diego's ALS Walk to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and to spread awareness about this disease.
ReigniteLife was founded in early 2023 in response to the devastating diagnosis of our dear colleague, friend, and partner, Dr. John Chiplin, with ALS. John’s visionary spirit and passion for life continue to inspire us following his passing in June 2024. Our mission is to honour his legacy by accelerating innovative approaches to understanding and combating ALS/MND.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause of the disease and can cost up to $250,000 a year to provide the care that people living with ALS and their families need.
Being a part of ALS San Diego's ALS Walk is the number one way to unite and fundraise for those living with ALS.
