ALS San Diego Walk 2025

Team Vital Capacity

Welcome to the page of Team Vital Capacity!

We are participating in ALS San Diego's ALS Walk to raise funds to support people in our local community with ALS and to spread awareness about this disease.

We are Walking to Defeat ALS — Join Team Vital Capacity!

Hi everyone,

We are proud to share that we’ll be participating in the ALS San Diego Fundraiser Walk—and we are inviting you to support a cause that means so much to us.

As respiratory therapist in the UC Outpatient ALS Clinic, we witness the challenges this disease brings to our patients and their families every day. ALS doesn’t just affect the body—it affects every breath, every moment, and every loved one involved.

That’s why we are walking — as part of Team Vital Capacity

We walk to honor our patients.

We walk to fight for a cure.

We walk because every breath matters.

‍♀ HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Donate to my fundraiser—every dollar helps fund patient care, support services, and groundbreaking research.

Share this message with your network to spread awareness.

Cheer us on or join the walk and be part of the movement!

Whether you give $5, $25, or words of encouragement, your support means the world. Help us breathe hope into the lives of those battling ALS.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity, although it is primarily an adult-onset disease. Currently there is no known cause of the disease and can cost up to $250,000 a year to provide the care that people living with ALS and their families need.
