In Honor, In Memory, In Hope.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
This year, I’m walking in the ALS San Diego Walk not just to raise money—but to honor the people I’ve come to know and love through the work we do at Adapt. ALS has a way of bringing the most courageous, compassionate, and determined people into your life, and walking is one small way I can give back to a cause that means so much to me.
At Adapt, we work alongside ALS San Diego to support individuals and families facing this devastating disease. Through our Hope Scholarship, we help provide access to care for people living with ALS—care that brings comfort, dignity, and strength in the face of incredible challenges.
I’m walking in honor of my friends who are courageously living with ALS, and in memory of those we’ve had to say goodbye to far too soon. Most of all, I’m walking for my friend Todd Witt. Todd’s strength, humor, and love for life left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him. This walk was important to him—because he believed in showing up, in building community, and in fighting for a better future for those with ALS. Now, I walk to carry that torch forward. To keep his spirit alive. And to continue the legacy he so fiercely believed in.
ALS is a cruel disease that takes away the ability to walk, talk, and breathe—but not the will to fight. There is still no known cause or cure, and most people live only 2 to 5 years after diagnosis. We need to do more—and together, we can.
Please consider making a donation through my fundraising page. Your support will help fund local care services, research for new treatments, and a future without ALS.
And if you feel moved, please share this page with others who might want to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Kristee
