As you know, our dear friend Chris P. is contending with ALS, an incurable illness also known as Lou Gehrig disease. Inspired by Chris’s perseverance and spirit of service, I am helping him launch a fund drive to partner with the nonprofit ALS San Diego. We're calling it "Friends of Chris P." 

We are presenting two options to support Chris and ALS San Diego: 
1. Join us for the 2025 ALS San Diego Walk on September 20th at NTC Park in Liberty Station. Check-in begins at 9 AM, program at 10:15 AM, and the walk at 10:30 AM. 
2. If you’re willing and able, we encourage you to donate to the Friends of Chris P fundraiser page linked here: https://secure.alssandiego.org/site/TR/Endurance/General?px=1013704&pg=personal&fr_id=1090 

I have participated anonymously and you have the same option. In any case, you will not be re-solicited by ALS SD. You can find details below on how to donate anonymously. 

Please note, your donation can be made anonymous in dollar amount and/or name. When you select the amount of your donation you can uncheck the box that says "Yes, you can display the amount of my donation publicly" to make your dollar amount anonymous. Under the donor information page, you can check the box that says "Yes, make this an anonymous gift" to remove your name from the donation page. If you prefer not to be contacted by ALS San Diego or receive any additional information uncheck the box on the donation page that authorizes them to do so.

Quite apart from contributions, let's see if we can boost Chris at the ALS San Diego annual walk on Saturday, September 20.
