I’ve been living with ALS for 12 years now. I’ve lost the ability to walk, talk, eat, and care for myself. I have 2 wonderful caregivers who help me  4 hours a day, 7 days a week. Although it’s been a difficult 12 years, I’m blessed to have beaten the odds so far, and through God’s grace, I hope I can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of others.   ​

ALS San Diego serves about 250 people with ALS and their families. They provide support including equipment loans from their Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program, grants to help with ALS-related expenses, access to ALS clinics and clinical trials, support groups, home visits to assess individual needs, then follow up to ensure that families have what they need to navigate this awful disease. They also support much-needed ALS research to move us closer to a world without ALS.
